Vaphit X Stainless Steel Kit
Vaphit has been providing us with a wide range of practical accessories for the world of DynaVaps or TEDs for quite some time, such as the Mini Bubbler or the DNA Glass Stem. Now, with the Vaphit X Kit, they’ve developed their own alternative that is definitely worth your time.
The system is very similar to the typical TEDs, except that the Vaphit is a pure convection vaporizer, and its included accessories are truly unique. By the way, so is the price!
Materials and Build Quality:
The Vaphit X is made entirely of stainless steel. The caps are made of borosilicate glass. The craftsmanship is excellent, with no sharp edges or similar flaws. The stem feels high-quality and fits comfortably in the hand. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too heavy for "hands-free" use. The red sealing rings are standard. The screen is more finely perforated than that of competitors. The X airport is easy to locate and use.
Functionality:
Before your first use, as always, you should clean everything with alcohol to remove any manufacturing residues. Grind herbs finely (approx. 0.15g per load) and avoid overpacking. Since the Vaphit operates on convection, it requires some airflow to pass through the herbs. When heated correctly, the Vaphit produces delicious and very even vapor, something competitors don’t quite achieve. We recommend using a 2- or 3-flame jet lighter for even heating. The flame should be stable, as it takes about 40-50 seconds to reach an optimal temperature. (When the flame changes color, it’s the right time to start inhaling.) You can also gauge the glass temperature by the color of the herbs.
You can use the Vaphit with either the direct-lung method or the mouth-to-lung method. The mouthpiece itself has a joint that makes the device water-pipe compatible. The manufacturer has considered community feedback.
The included glass beads can be inserted into the stem for extra cooling, but this also increases cleaning effort and leads to more reclaim in the stem. The small silicone glove is perfect for removing hot caps and is simply adorable :)
The Vaphit is compatible with almost all common induction heaters, such as the Cuboo Heater, Flare, and Forge. You’ll need to adjust your settings accordingly. We also recommend the Vaphit for hash or concentrates. It’s best to mix them with some herbs and enjoy. The Vaphit X is VERY versatile!
You can of course also combine the Vaphit Stem as well as the tip and cap with all DynaVap Stems and mix and match according to your preferences.

Conclusion:
The Vaphit X pleasantly surprised us. The vapor is smooth and flavorful, the functionality is relatively easy to learn, and the included accessories are more than sufficient. If you’re looking for an alternative to your DynaVap and are willing to invest a little time in learning, this is an excellent TED that will serve you well for many years. Price-to-performance is almost unbeatable here!
