Waterpipes for Vaporizer

Here you will find a large selection of hand-picked and extensively sage-tested waterpipes and bongs for use with your vaporizer.

Why should you use a vaporizer with a waterpipes?

The vapor from a vaporizer is pure and tastes much better than any Joint. But vaporising is not without its disadvantages. Depending on the vaporisation temperature and the herbs used, the vapor is often very dry and also warm, which can irritate your bronchi and often leads to coughing, especially at the beginning. Fortunately, there is a great solution: You can use your vaporizer together with a waterpipe. This moistens and cools the vapor before it reaches your lungs, resulting in a smoother vaping experience.

What happens to the vapour when inhaled throu water?

The best way to make the vapor smoother is to filter it through water using a bong, bubbler or water pipe. Water has the ability to absorb the heat of the vapor, which is why so many users vape almost exclusively through water. When the vapor bubbles through water, something "magical" happens. If you take a vaporizer and compare it with water and without water, you will immediately notice the difference. Water-filtered vapor is smooth, cool and moist; a treat for the lungs!

  • Cooling effect: The first and probably most important effect that water has on vapor is that it makes it cooler. Hot vapours can irritate the throat and bronchial tubes. Cool vapor, on the other hand, is easy on the throat and travels down the throat almost effortlessly.
  • Moisturising effect: Another effect of water is that it moistens the vapor. As the vapor can often be very itchy, especially at high temperatures, filtering with water is an absolute must. Bongs with perculators have proven to be particularly efficient.
  • Particle filter: Screens tend to lose efficiency over time, especially if they are not well maintained. As a result, small particles and dust can get into your lungs. In practice, however, you rarely notice this. However, if you use a waterpipe to cool down the vapor, the water catches these particles. You inhale 100% pure vapor and no tiny particles.

Possible disadvantages of vaping through water?

Are there any disadvantages to vaping through water? Not many, and the advantages clearly outweigh the disadvantages.

  • Less terpenes so less flavor: Some terpenes are water-soluble and are lost when you filter the vapor through water. The less water you use, the less terpene loss you have. But don't worry, the vapor still tastes wonderfully fresh ;)
  • Condensation of the vapor: Some of the vapor will stick to the glass of the waterpipe on the way to your lungs as it cools down. You should therefore use a small waterpipe with as little surface area as possible and water for vaping.

Cold or hot water? What should you use?

Both temperature ranges have their advantages and disadvantages. Which you choose depends on many factors, such as your preferences, the temperature of the vaporizer, the environment, etc.

  • Cold water: Ice-cold water has a great cooling effect and lowers the temperature of the vapor by several degrees almost instantly. Use cold water if you like vaping at very high temperatures, close to combustion. This allows you to inhale significantly more for a stronger effect than with warm vapor.
  • Warm water: Warm water is the best choice if you vape at normal temperatures. Warm water moistens the vapor better than ice-cold water, making the vapor particularly mild to inhale. Not only that, it also prevents the vapor from sticking to the sides of the bong, effectively increasing the amount of cannabinoids you inhale (compared to cold water). By warm water, we mean water with a temperature between 35°C and 40°C, depending on what you prefer.
  • Other cooling liquids: The latest innovation in water filtration is special waters for bongs. These liquids are 100% natural alternatives to normal water. Sometimes they are flavoured, but most importantly they contain ingredients that allow the vapor to flow through the liquid with minimal loss of terpenes and cannabinoids.

How can you combine your vaporizer with a waterpipe?

In general, you have 2 options. There are complete systems, these are self-contained all-in-one systems and the bong + adapter option.

  • Closed all-in-one systems: Attachable bubblers are among the smallest waterpipes available, they are one-piece and were developed as an unobtrusive solution. The Arizer Side Bubbler, for example, is filled with water up to the slots, inserted into the opening of the heating element at the top and replaces the classic mouthpiece. These simple but very effective bubbler attachments are also available for the Mighty+ or the Starry vaporizer. The complete systems are easy to use and still provide sufficient filtration for your vapor.
  • Water filter + adapter systems: Combining a water filter with a vaporizer is very simple. In general, you can use any bong by placing the head on its side (it is no longer needed) and attaching your vaporizer to the chillum. You will need to use the appropriate adapter. There are devices such as the DynaVap M that work natively with all 10mm waterpipe, but this is the exception rather than the norm. If you want to connect a Mighty+, for example, you need to select the appropriate adapter. The size of the ground joint of the adapter depends on the ground joint of the waterpipe you want to use. Also make sure that your vaporizer is securely connected to the waterpipe. Some vaporizers are heavier than others, which makes it difficult or even impossible to use them with a small waterpipe.

How often should you clean the waterpipe?

A waterpipe that is used together with a vaporizer does not get dirty as quickly as one that is used for smoking. Therefore, you only need to change the water every 2-3 days. If you want, and that would also be our recommendation, do it daily. Thorough cleaning should be done depending on your consumption behaviour. We recommend once a week for regular users or once a month for moderate users.

Cleaning can be done easily with isopropanol or the classic Schmand Weg. Fill either alcohol or hot water with Schmand Weg into the water filter and shake vigorously a few times. You can close the openings with suitable plugs. Then rinse with clear water and dry.

We hope to be able to give you a brief overview here, which will make it easier for you to choose the right waterpipe. Firstly, decide which system you want to use and then choose the right filter with or without an adapter.
