It is often said dimethylether is less dangerous than butane gas and similar gases. This is only partly true. Dimethylether is also highly flammable and is slightly narcotic. Precautions while working with it are essential.
The organic dimethylether gas is suitable for extractions of essential oils from plant material with the usual gas extractors.
Dont use Dimethyl Ether with plastic extractors or extractors with plastic parts which have contact to the solvent.
It's not suitable for jetlighters as it need another air-gas mix or lighters with plastic parts!
The use in confined spaces is strictly prohibited.
A purity of at least 99.9% is guaranteed. The extraction process is faster than with butane and is very efficient, since, in contrast to butane gas, only about one third of the amount is needed for extraction (under best conditions).
The boiling or evaporation point of Dimethyl Ether is much lower than the one of butane. This means that the extraction solvent evaporates faster and the purging process is easier. With Dexso you extract more in the same amount of time.
