The idea behind our in-house development

Because we at Verdampftnochmal rarely settle for standard solutions in our daily vape life, our official research and development department got to work.

To categorize the Cuboo Stick Pro, it is worth looking at its origin: The popular XMAX V4 Pro serves as a proven OEM hardware platform in the market, on whose predecessor (XMAX V3 Pro) our first Cuboo Stick was built.

The mission for the Pro version was clear: We take this solid foundation and manufacture a device that includes exactly the upgrades and premium features we want for our daily use. At the same time, the Cuboo Stick Pro remains a true “people’s vape,” ensuring premium performance is affordable for everyone without breaking the bank.

After looking at the specs, let’s see how the Cuboo Stick Pro’s upgrades and features perform in everyday life.

Build quality and design of the Cuboo Stick Pro

The Cuboo Stick Pro comes in a sleek pen format and impresses with compact dimensions, light weight, and a feel usually reserved for expensive smartphones. Everything is high-quality: the gaps are precise, nothing wobbles, and nothing creaks.

Refined feel and compact design

The robust aluminum housing, combined with the metal top part of the mouthpiece, forms a solid unit that easily handles rougher daily use. Thanks to its slim dimensions, the vaporizer slides effortlessly into any pocket, so you can have it with you unobtrusively everywhere. The housing colors also offer several options: in addition to the timeless classic black, there is silver-to-black gradient, purple, and Very Peri turquoise blue.

Crystal clear & brilliant: The new OLED color display

A look at the front of the device leads directly to the OLED color display and the clearly structured controls. Positioned conveniently above the display, the power button is easy to reach. While the previous Cuboo Stick already featured an easy-to-read black-and-white screen, the new color display takes things a step further. Targeted color accents help individual information stand out better. Additionally, the screen is bright enough to be easily read even in direct sunlight.

Directly below the display are the plus and minus buttons for precise temperature adjustment. The buttons are kept flat but are haptically distinct enough to be used without looking.

Things have improved with heating speed, too: The Cuboo Stick Pro reaches its target temperature almost twice as fast as the previous generation and is ready for the first draw in just a few seconds.

Cuboo Stick Pro with Premium Feature: Airflow Control

The main upgrade is located on the back of the Cuboo Stick Pro: Features like true airflow control are usually only seen in expensive high-end models like the Venty by Storz & Bickel or the Limelight Frolic. Having this convenience on board makes the device extremely flexible without breaking the budget.

The airflow system consists of three precisely placed air inlets: two smaller ones and one larger one. You can use the slider to steplessly adjust the draw resistance to your personal preference and control your vaping experience individually. The air inlet can be opened to the maximum but is intentionally designed so that it cannot be completely closed. This ensures there is always enough basic airflow for optimal performance and dense vapor even at the lowest setting.

Directly below the airflow regulator is the USB-C port for fast and modern charging.

The Cuboo Stick Pro: 2-in-1 Glass Mouthpiece & WPA

The newly designed mouthpiece unit is reliably held on the housing by strong magnets. A significant upgrade concerns the materials: The holder, including the integrated debowler, is now made entirely of metal instead of plastic as with the classic Cuboo Stick. This ensures noticeably more durability – you can easily scrape the herbs out of the chamber after the session without the material wearing down.

The mouthpiece itself is made of dark tinted glass, reminiscent of the classy Miron violet glass of our storage jars. Not only does this look stylish, but it also has a practical benefit: Darker resin residues (reclaim) remain discreetly hidden, so your mouthpiece always looks visually clean and well-maintained even after several sessions.

The placement of the magnets was also refined. The two magnets are now embedded directly in the mouthpiece and are no longer exposed towards the bowl. This prevents herb residues or resinous deposits from getting stuck in fine crevices, making cleaning significantly easier and faster.

The complete unit consists of a total of five parts: the metal mouthpiece holder including debowler, the silicone inlay as a connecting element, the cooling unit with removable screen, and the actual mouthpiece made of dark tinted glass.

At the same time, the mouthpiece serves as an integrated water pipe adapter (WPA). Due to its conical shape, it fits directly onto your bubbler, bong, or water filter, regardless of whether it is a 14mm or 18mm joint. So you can get started right away without having to buy extra accessories.

If you prefer to switch between water pipes and direct vaping, a straight glass mouthpiece is also included. You can quickly swap the WPA attachment for it. The straight mouthpiece is shaped slightly narrower and offers a familiar, classic feel on your lips when on the go.

Ready for Bong: The rotatable Flip-Display

So that you don’t have to read the display upside down when using it on a water pipe, the device includes a clever extra: a flip display. As soon as the vaporizer is inserted upside down into the joint, just press all three buttons simultaneously. The screen content immediately rotates 180 degrees, so you keep perfect track of the temperature and remaining time even on your water filter.

The dark tinted glass of the mouthpiece not only looks good but also conceals reclaim residues unobtrusively. The design makes the mouthpiece universally usable: It fits seamlessly on the Cuboo Stick Pro, the Cuboo Stick, and the XMAX V4 Pro.

Intelligent heat management instead of draft

A look at the sides of the Cuboo Stick Pro reveals a detail that could easily be misunderstood: just like the Cuboo Stick, there are lateral openings in the housing. However, technically there is a crucial difference in the airflow between the two models.

With the Cuboo Stick, these side slots serve as a direct airflow path through which air is drawn for vaporization. With the Cuboo Stick Pro, however, they are completely separated from the actual air path. They act as pure cooling vents for the housing. This effectively dissipates the heat of the heating element, so the vaporizer feels pleasantly cool in your hand even during longer or hotter sessions.

Battery, runtime, and Passthrough function

A look at the bottom of the Cuboo Stick Pro reveals the next design change: The access to the battery compartment is now directly at the base of the device. While the Cuboo Stick featured a magnetic side door that could occasionally pop off during a fall or inside a bag, the Cuboo Stick Pro uses an extremely solid screw cap.

This screw mechanism keeps the battery firmly in place and is significantly more resistant to impact in everyday life. A small, unobtrusive degassing vent in the cap ensures necessary operational safety.

3200 mAh capacity & Passthrough charging

Under the screw cap sits the power supply for long sessions: a powerful 3200 mAh battery. A significant plus for everyday life is the flexibility, as the battery can be swapped out in one simple motion. A spare battery costs just over ten euros and is quickly purchased. With one or two spare batteries in your luggage, your setup easily lasts the whole day without needing a power outlet.

But what does the 3200 mAh capacity mean for your daily life? In practice, you get approx. 8 to 10 complete bowls out of one battery charge, depending on the set temperature and session duration. For comparison: devices with the smaller 2550 mAh standard battery often run out after 5 to 6 charges.

Efficient energy management: The 3200 mAh battery not only provides more capacity mathematically, but the heat management is also extremely economical. Even after several sessions, the battery bar on the display shows hardly any depletion – ideal for long days out or festival weekends.

💡 Important for on-the-go safety: Loose, unprotected batteries in your pocket or backpack can be extremely dangerous as a short circuit can occur due to keys or coins. Always use suitable protective cases for transport to cover the contacts cleanly and safely.

If the battery does run out, it can be recharged flexibly – even via power bank. If you happen to be near a wall outlet, the integrated Passthrough function comes into play: just plug the vaporizer into the charging cable and continue using it while the battery charges. This turns the Cuboo Stick Pro into a stationary solution for the couch in no time.

Flavorful Convection & Dual-Mode

Under the hood, the Cuboo Stick Pro operates with a pure convection system. Unlike classic conduction devices, the herbs do not come into direct contact with the hot walls of the heating element.

Taste is often subjective, but the physical differences of heating methods are clear. With pure conduction, the hot chamber walls heat the material continuously. This causes valuable terpenes and essential oils to partially evaporate unused during breaks between puffs. Additionally, the constant contact with the walls leads to faster “toasted” flavors, causing the taste to diminish rapidly over the course of a session.

With the Cuboo Stick Pro, however, the heated air only draws through the filling chamber when you actively inhale. This protects the plant material and keeps the aroma fresh and pure throughout the entire session. Sure, the chamber gets some residual heat from radiation over time, but by then, your filling is usually long since completely vaporized.

Dual-Mode: Session vs. On-Demand

No matter how you prefer to vape: The Cuboo Stick Pro adapts fully to your habits and gives you the choice between two different operating modes.

Session Mode: The classic for the entire filling

Session mode is particularly worthwhile if you want to vape a whole chamber in one go. The device heats up once to your desired temperature and automatically keeps it constant for either 4 or 6 minutes.

If you want to take your time while vaping, you can flexibly extend the duration of your session: By briefly pressing the plus and minus buttons simultaneously, you switch briefly into On-Demand mode and directly back into Session mode. This restarts the timer, and your session continues seamlessly without the device cooling down completely in between.

In terms of feel, this mode can best be compared to a classic joint: once started, you draw relaxed piece by piece until the filling is used up.

On-Demand Mode: Maximum flexibility for individual puffs

In On-Demand mode, the oven heats up for a short window of 30 seconds and cools down immediately afterward. A similar On-Demand principle is known from devices like the Arizer Solo 3 or the Go SRT. This is ideal for micro-dosing or if you only want to take a single puff from the bowl spread throughout the day. The big advantage: because the heat stops directly after 30 seconds, no lasting heat builds up in the chamber, so your herbs don’t continue to toast unnecessarily between puffs and remain fresh for the next use.

After the 30-second heating process, the Cuboo Stick Pro automatically switches to a 120-second standby mode before shutting down completely. If you want to continue vaping immediately, you can cancel standby mode at any time by simply holding the power button again to initiate the next puff.

Vapor quality and draw resistance

Due to the efficient convection system and the powerful oven, the Cuboo Stick Pro delivers decent vapor with the very first puff. With subsequent puffs, the result becomes denser, as usual.

You choose which mouthpiece to attach according to your taste. The straight glass offers a subjectively slightly cooler note due to its longer form, while the conical WPA attachment serves directly as an adapter for your water pipe. Both variants work excellently in everyday life. Even during longer sessions, the glass remains pleasantly cool, so you never burn your lips. During our tests, we also never had issues with an unpleasant scratching sensation in the throat.

With the 3-stage airflow slider on the back, you choose your preferred draw resistance:

• Open airflow (Ripper): Ideal for fast, powerful lung hits. The open airflow is reminiscent of a water pipe and delivers large clouds of vapor directly.

• Medium airflow (Balanced): The perfect compromise between dense vapor and slight draw resistance for flexible daily use.

• Restrictive airflow (Sipper): Perfect for long, relaxed sessions. Due to the noticeable draw resistance, you draw slower and more evenly, similar to a classic joint, and get particularly many short puffs out of your chamber.

💡 Practical benefit of airflow control: Fixed inhalation habits often require noticeable resistance. Those used to traditional inhalation methods (joint) often pull with a bit more force initially. With the airflow slider set tighter, you can easily adapt the draw behavior to your personal preferences: the increased draw resistance gently throttles the airflow, ensuring an especially uniform, pleasant vaping experience with full aroma. Note: Vaporizers are lifestyle products and not medical devices for smoking cessation.

Included: Ready to go with capsules for herbs and extracts

The Cuboo Stick Pro comes with everything you need for a start. In addition to the USB-C charging cable, cleaning brush, cotton swabs, spare screens with a tool to change them, and the replaceable 3200 mAh battery, two different capsules are included directly: a stainless steel dosing capsule for herbs and a special extract capsule for resins and concentrates.

💡 Important Note: Resins, hashish, and extracts should never go directly into the heating chamber or the normal herb capsule. When heated, concentrates liquefy and can run deep into the oven, permanently damaging the heating element. If you want to vape extracts, you must use the provided extract capsule or embed your material in some Vapewool (degummed hemp fiber). This holds the liquefied resins like a sponge, reliably keeping them in place and protecting the device from damage.

Clean chamber and easy handling on the go

The chamber holds approx. 0.15 g of herbs loosely packed. If you use the included stainless steel dosing capsule, it holds about 0.10 to 0.12 g. Together with the integrated 2-in-1 WPA mouthpiece, you are ready for any application right out of the box.

Using the capsules offers you clear advantages in everyday life:

• Clean dosing: The herb capsule holds the material optimally together and ensures a uniform airflow even with smaller amounts.

• Minimal cleaning effort: Because herbs and extracts remain cleanly in their respective capsules, significantly fewer residues stick to the inner walls of the chamber.

• Prepared for on the go: You can fill capsules at home and take them with you. Swapping them while out and about takes just a few seconds, without any mess.

The right accessories bring out significantly more from your Cuboo Stick Pro in everyday use. Thanks to the integrated 2-in-1 water filter adapter (WPA), the device can be easily combined with various glass attachments:

• 3D Mouthpiece for Cuboo Stick: The integrated glass nubs on the inside lengthen the air path and swirl the vapor. This makes the draw noticeably smoother if you prefer vaping directly from the stick.

• Cuboo Stick Glass Bubbler: This water filter attachment is plugged directly onto the device. It provides you with real water cooling for on the go, yet remains compact enough for easy transport.

• Cuboo Stick Rocket Stem: A glass mouthpiece with integrated glass beads inside. The pearls slightly slow down the vapor, absorb heat effectively, and provide an amazingly cool draw without any water.

• Globi Mini Bubbler: This compact water filter is sized perfectly for the sleek Cuboo Stick Pro. It gives you pleasant water cooling without making the setup bulky or top-heavy. You simply plug the stick with its WPA mouthpiece into the 14.4 mm joint. Practical extra: a hose adapter and a silicone hose are included, so you can vape in relaxed Shisha style.

• Hand pipe for Vaporizers: A pleasure upgrade with extra cooling: simply plug the Cuboo Stick Pro with its WPA mouthpiece directly into the 14.4 mm joint of this glass pipe. The highlight is the spiral vapor path extension inside, which significantly lengthens the air path and effectively cools the vapor. You can pre-fill the pipe with isopropyl alcohol (iso) via the small filling opening and put it in the freezer. Since iso doesn’t freeze or expand like water in the freezer, the glass won’t break, and you get maximum ice cooling for extremely smooth hits with pure aroma.

Tips

• Grind & Pack: Since it is a convection vaporizer, the hot air must be able to flow easily through the herb material. Grind your herbs coarse to medium-fine with a good grinder and fill the chamber loosely without pressing the material down firmly.

• Use Dosing Capsules: The Cuboo Stick Pro comes with an herb and concentrate capsule. The capsules keep the heating chamber clean for a longer time and can be changed in seconds when on the go.

• Pack a spare battery: Since the device uses a standard 18650 battery, you can simply bring additional charged batteries for longer trips or festivals. Changing takes just a few seconds thanks to the screw cap on the bottom.

• Cleaning made easy: For everyday care, the Cuboo Stick Pro comes ready to use with everything you need. With the cleaning brush and special cleaning tool, you can quickly clear the chamber of loose herb residues after a session. For sticky resins or intermediate wipe-downs, four cleaning wipes and three cleaning swabs are included in the set. When a thorough deep cleaning is due after extended use, disassemble the metal top part and place it along with the glass parts and stainless steel capsules into some isopropyl alcohol.

⚠️ Important safety note:

Never immerse the vaporizer itself in isopropyl alcohol or water! Under no circumstances should liquids get inside the housing or electronics. Wipe the heating chamber of the device carefully with a lightly moistened isopropanol cotton swab if necessary – hold the device upside down when doing this so that no drops run down into the heating element. Attention: Never put the brush into the hot chamber, otherwise it can melt!
